SALE: 2016 Domaine Jaeger Defaix Les Cloux Rully Premier Cru, Burgundy France - “The 2016 Rully 1er Cru Les Cloux hails from massal selection vines between 45 and 60 years old. This is the brightest and most precise of Jaeger-Defaix’s whites, offering up notes of lime, green orchard fruit, peach and white flowers. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied & delicate, with attractive purity & a long, succulent finish.†(WA) Regular price $39.99 - On SALE in November for $29.99 (while supplies last).
Hand harvested, organically farmed (not certified), with sparing use of natural elements only as needed.
2014 Thomas Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Premier Cru, Burgundy, France –“Once again there is a soft whisper of wood on the notably floral white orchard fruit suffused nose. This is a big but energetic wine with plenty of volume and concentration on the mid-palate that delivers excellent length on the seductively textured finale. This presently isn’t as complex as the Embrazées but the underlying material appears to be such that more will almost certainly develop.†(BH #63)
Regular price $74.99 - On SALE in November for $59.99 (while supplies last).
Burgundy Rouge
Organic, indigenous yeasts and no added sulfites. A perfect Thanksgiving wine.
SALE: 2018 Vignobles Bulliat Morgon “Nature†Beaujolais, France – “Shimmering ruby. Lively, primary red/blue fruit aromas, along with suggestions of pungent flowers and succulent herbs. Picks up a spicy nuance with air, which sharpens the appealingly sweet black raspberry and boysenberry flavors. A bitter chocolate note appears on the long, penetrating finish, which is firmed by dusty, even tannins.†(Vinus 10/19)
Regular price $21.99 - On SALE in November for $16.99 (while supplies last).
We couldn’t decide between these two Bougogne Rouges so we are offering both of them at a sale price!
The vineyards Magnien works with are now either certified organic or in the process of conversion.
SALE: 2017 Frederic Magnien Bourgogne “Graviers†Rouge Burgundy, France - Pinot Noir sourced from a single vineyard called ‘Graviers’ aged in older French Oak and bottled unfiltered and unfined. Indigenous yeast and no wine making additives though vineyards are not certified organic.
SALE: 2017 Vincent Girardin Bourgogne Pinot Noir “Cuvee Saint-Vincent†Burgundy, France – From vineyards in the regional appellation area of the Cote de Beaune. Muted aromas of earth and dark cherry fruit, the medium bodied wine has ripe fruit flavors with supple tannins and good acidity.

NEW ARRIVALS – ONCE AND FUTURE
Joel Peterson, (founder of Ravenswood which is now a Gallo wine) the godfather of Cali Zin, especially single vineyard Zin, returns to his roots with his son Morgan Twain-Peterson and the wines are spectacular!
2018 Once & Future Petit Sirah, Palisades Vineyard, Calistoga, Napa Valley Ca.- “The 2018 Petit Sirah Palisades Vineyard is sumptuous, racy and explosive. Inky and voluptuous to the core, with soft curves and tremendous fruit intensity, the 2018 has it all. Crème de cassis, blueberry jam, spice, lavender, menthol and exotic white flowers build as this arrestingly beautiful showstopper opens up with a bit of air. Joel Peterson has done a tremendous job exalting the purity of the fruit, while avoiding the hard tannins that can at times make young Petite hard to approach. In a word…wow!†(Antonio Galloni Vinous 4/20) $68.99
2018 Once & Future Zinfandel, Teldeschi Vineyard, Frank’s Block, Dry Creek Valley Sonoma, Ca- “One of the highlights in this range, the 2018 Zinfandel Teldeschi Vineyard Frank’s Block is flat-out stunning. In 2018, the Teldeschi soars out of the glass with magnificent aromatic complexity and depth. Inky dark fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, licorice and plum infuse the 2018 with tons of nuance and complexity. But it is the purity of the flavors that elevates the 2018 into the realm of the sublime. Dollops of co-fermented Alicante and Carignane add striking nuance. This is a stellar showing.†(Antonio Galloni Vinous 4/20) $57.99
2018 Once & Future Zinfandel Old Hill Vineyard, Sonoma Valley, Ca. “The 2018 Zinfandel Old Hill Vineyard is flat-out stunning. Deep, layered and super-expressive, the 2018 offers unreal complexity, much of which comes from the diversity of a field blend of about 14 varieties that includes good bits of Grenache, Mataro, Alicante and Carignane, among others. A wine of total understatement, the 2018 is not obvious, but it has so much going on for readers who can take some time with it. Old Hill is one of the most pedigreed sites in Sonoma Valley. Joel Peterson certainly got every bit of potential out of this fruit in 2018. What a wine!†(Antonio Galloni Vinous 4/20) $62.99
The GREEN Spot
As you shop in the store you may see some wines displaying a green price sticker. This is our way of letting you know that the wine is organic, biodynamic, sustainable or natural. This is an ongoing process as we research each and every wine in the shop. Verbiage on the bottle may tell you more or you may ask us for further clarification. We are organized by place, not attribute, but as the wine world has made a healthy move toward better farming practices we needed to find a quick way to identify organic, biodynamic, sustainable and natural wines.
